Genesis Grooves is a house music events promoter based in London. This page explains what happens to your details when you join our mailing list. We've kept it short and in plain English.

What we collect

When you sign up we ask for:

• Your name — so we can address you properly.
• Your email address — so we can tell you about events.
• Your phone number — optional, only for last-minute location drops. You can leave it blank.

We also record the date you agreed to receive emails, so we have a record of your consent. We don't collect anything else, and we don't track you around the internet.

Why we hold it

Solely to send you emails about Genesis Grooves events — line-ups, dates, locations and ticket releases. We rely on your consent, which is why the tick box on the sign-up form is never pre-ticked and always your choice.

We will never sell your details

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anybody. We don't pass it to other promoters, venues or advertisers.

Who else touches your data

Two service providers help us run the list, and nobody else:

• Supabase stores the mailing list. Our database is hosted in London.
• Resend delivers our emails. Sending is handled from Ireland.

Both act on our instructions only, and cannot use your details for their own purposes.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and most email apps also show their own unsubscribe button at the top. One click and you're off — no questions, no "are you sure". If you click it by mistake there's an undo button on the confirmation page.

You can also just email us and we'll remove you by hand.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We don't hold onto details from people who have left the list.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email us and we'll sort it out, normally within a few days and always within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Events and tickets

Being on this list isn't a ticket and doesn't guarantee entry or availability. Tickets, entry conditions, age restrictions and refunds are handled by whoever sells the ticket for each event, under their own terms. Line-ups, times and locations can change — we'll tell the list if they do.
